Misty, a young disabled woman in her 20s, asked for help with buying Christmas presents for her four children. She was unable to work due to her disability and struggled to keep a roof over her family’s head. The founder, Jenna Green,a VCU student, came to find out about her situation and asked, “What about your dinner?” Unfortunately, Misty had no idea about what her family would eat on Christmas Day. This is where the organization began, raising $150 in a few weeks to provide her family with a full course meal. The remaining proceeds went into an account to be saved for the following year.
